It has the potential to be the economic center of Naitasiri.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Tourism and Transport, Shaheen Ali made the comments during the land use consultations in Suva yesterday.

He said development strategies in Vunidawa were being drawn up in line with the national development plan and the ministry’s operational plan.

“With more people moving to urban centers, we need to ensure that in the long term we are able to grow in a sustainable way,” Ali said.
