August 11, 2022 (NewsRx) — By a News Reporter – Staff News Editor at China Daily News — New research in health and medicine – Public health is the subject of a report. According to reports from CantonPeople Republic of Chinaby the editors of NewsRx, the research said: “This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of the long-term care insurance (LTCI) pilot program in China through an examination of public confidence in the system and its associated factors of insurance awareness and satisfaction with LTCH policy. An online survey was used to collect data from 786 participants in the city of Cantonone of ASLD’s pilot sites.
Our news reporters got a quote from the research of the Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, “Ordinal logistic regression models were used to investigate related factors of public trust in LTCH. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was conducted to test the mediating effect of satisfaction with LTCH policy on the relationship between insurance awareness and public trust. More than 60% of participants gave a positive evaluation of the LTCI pilot program. Over 70% of participants acknowledged the important role of the program. Understanding of insurance and satisfaction with LTCI policies were associated with public trust. The proportion of the indirect effect to the total effect of satisfaction on trust was 70.133%, higher than the direct effect of 29.867%. Our results supported the hypothesis that satisfaction with the LTCI policy mediates between insurance awareness and public trust. »
According to the news editors, the research concluded, “Optimization of the LTCI policy was recommended to improve public confidence in the LTCI program.”
