India offers line of credit for economic and trade cooperation with Iran

Munich/New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stressed India’s readiness to open a credit line for economic and trade cooperation with Iran, during his talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the sidelines of the Munich Security Council. Amir Abdollahian also expressed his hope that during the trip good agreements will be reached for the development and promotion of bilateral relations, and “consultations on some issues of common interest in the regional arena will be made”. EAM Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s determination to develop cooperation with Iran in the fields of petroleum, industry, agriculture and trade. He also highlighted India’s readiness to open a credit line for economic and trade cooperation. The two men also exchanged views on the latest situation in Afghanistan, underscoring the common views of the two countries on the need to form an inclusive government with the participation of all political groups in Afghanistan.
