Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed that Egypt wishes to continue promoting economic and commercial cooperation with the German business community and companies.
The Egyptian leader made the remarks during a round table meeting with business representatives and heads of major industrial companies in Germany.
A crowd of senior German officials took part in the roundtable, which was attended by ministers of foreign affairs, electricity and renewable energy, planning and economic development, oil and mineral resources , transport, as well as trade and industry, from the presidency, spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Sisi affirmed that Egypt wants to stimulate joint investments with the German business community and companies to help support the country’s economic development and take advantage of the opportunities available in both countries.
The President hailed the positive development of economic and trade relations between Egypt and Germany over the past few years.
He highlighted the various investment opportunities offered by the ongoing mega-projects in Egypt, topped by the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
Sisi also praised the role played by major German companies in strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the meeting participants hailed Egypt’s great efforts to achieve economic reform and take steps to accelerate the development process in the country.
