Hanoi (VNA) – Member of the Politburo and head of the Economic Commission of the Party Central Committee Tran Tuan Anh had a meeting in Hanoi on March 10 with a delegation from the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) and representatives of 28 major US companies.

Expressing his joy at the growing comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and the United States as well as the cooperation between the business circles of the two sides, Anh said that the Party and State of Vietnam always regard the United States as the leader. one of the main important partners.

He praised the contributions of American companies to Vietnam’s economic growth as well as the support of the United States in COVID-19[female[feminine prevention and control.

He affirmed that Vietnam will continue to complete its policy framework, improve the investment environment and promote partnership with the United States. Vietnam is ready to engage with U.S. companies to deal with the difficulties of bilateral cooperation in economy, trade and investment, he said.

The two sides share ideas and recommendations on how to further strengthen investment and business cooperation between the two countries, especially in healthcare, green and renewable energy, financial services, l digital economy, science-technology and post-pandemic economic recovery.

The head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission urged U.S. investors to increase investment and increase research, development and innovation activities in Vietnam, helping to make the country a hub of regional value chains and global.

USABC officials expressed their impression of Vietnam’s efforts and determination to recover and boost its economic development under the new normal situation.

They affirmed the council’s commitment to continue to accompany and coordinate closely with Vietnam, while actively working for a stronger comprehensive partnership between the two countries, especially in economy, trade and investment, responding to the aspirations and interests of both parties./.
